Description

Aindhinai was established with the aim to enhance the livelihood of small farmers through the elimination of middlemen and the prevention of adulteration in agricultural produce and products.

And maintenance of high quality and fair pricing have been the driving forces of the company. The Gingelly plant from the seeds of which the oil is extracted is raised by the farmers making use of exclusive organic inputs like organic fertilizers and pest repellents, etc.

Gingelly was cultivated more than 5000 years ago as a drought-tolerant crop and it was able to grow where other crops failed. Gingelly seeds were one of the first crops processed for oil. Gingelly was cultivated during the Indus valley civilization and was the main oil crop of those times.

Gingelly oil has been used for centuries in Asian cuisine. It also has medicinal purposes, especially in Ayurvedic medicine, where it is used as a base oil for about 90% of the herbal oils. In Ayurvedic therapy, Gingelly oil is renowned for its ability to strengthen and detoxify the body and ensure the proper functioning of all the vital organs.

The farmers of Aindhinai grow the Gingelly seeds the raw material of this oil in the traditional way. Apart from sourcing raw materials utmost care is given during oil extraction from the seeds through wooden cold pressing.  And the entire process and packing are done in an extremely hygienic manner even while giving maximum importance to the traditional mode of processing.
